Christmas is always a season of high expectations. Promises are made about gifts and get-togethers. The season itself promises us cozy moments and warm feelings. From that first Christmas until today, God has set high expectations by making many promises to his people that all find their fulfillment in the Christ-child born into a manger.
One of the promises God makes to us that is fulfilled at Christmas is the promise of hope. This hope is not simple wishful thinking. Hope is being certain that our tomorrow is better than our today. In the certain promises of Jesus we have the confidence to look forward to tomorrow with all hope.
